Summary: This job requires working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Communicating with OEM, Tier1, Tier2 customers to understand business needs, plan, organize tasks to serve customers.
1.Work with the Supply Chain Manager to establish and monitor department goals and objectives.
2.When goals / objectives are not being met, investigate, identify root cause and establish corrective actions to ensure future success.
3.Apply experience and knowledge as it relates to the essential functions of Planning, Procurement and Customer Service to improve the overall service, efficiency and effectiveness in these areas to meet business needs.
4.Coordinate production planning and procurement of materials to enable seamless manufacturing of product that meets our business and customer’s needs.
5.Coordinate and supervise daily production meetings and weekly production planning meetings with each of the major production areas. (Skiving, Stamping, Molding, Plating and Cut & Pack).
6.Conduct analysis of customer forecasts, historical sales data and apply company internal parameters to reduce raw material purchase/process costs, optimize production schedules/maximize manufacturing efficiency, and manage company inventory in accordance with prescribed parameters.
7.Assist in the evaluation of suppliers & vendors and help identify opportunities for improvement (i.e. reduced material costs, shorter lead times, vendor stocking opportunities). Use Interplex’s Industries global resources where applicable.
8.Interface with Customers in support of new business opportunities as well as existing programs.
9.Proactively ensure that Planning and Procurement methods and Customer Service philosophies are consistent with company expectations. Where necessary develop/update Planning department SOP’s/Work Instructions.
10.Interface with internal operations (Sales, Engineering, Stamping, Plating, Molding, Cut & Pack) to support program management activities as needed.
11.Analyze production requirements, delivery schedules, and cost estimates for materials and equipment to ensure completeness and accuracy.
12.Prepare requests for bids, material specifications, test and progress reports and other information that may be required.
13.Review bids received and determine conformity to production requirements.
14.Analyze price proposals and other extensions of supply agreements.
15.Supervise the management of key customer relationships.
16.Ensure accuracy and timeliness of information system in areas of responsibility.
17.Generate ideas to reduce costs, cycle time and improve customer satisfaction.
18.Conduct and/or direct through a designee, the training of new employees within the Planning department. Document training with training forms which are then turned into HR to be filed in the employee file.
19.Prepare employee performance related documentation (Incident Reports, Performance Reviews, & Warning Forms) and present to the Supply Chain Manager for review and approval. Discussions with the employee should include Human Resources at a minimum and the Supply Chain Manager as deemed appropriate given the circumstances.
20.Ensure that departmental employees are following Company policies and procedures as set forth in the Interplex Employee Manual.
21.Follow Company policies and procedures as defined in the Ennovi Employee Manual.
22.Follow all International Standards that apply to company’s certification and QMS.
23.Follow Company Safety rules and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
24.Maintain regular and satisfactory attendance.
25.Perform duties outside of normal work hours as required.
26.Other duties as assigned.
Education /Skills /Qualifications:
1. Must have a Bachelor Degree.
2. Must read, write and communicate in English as it relates to this position and safety.
3. Must successfully complete 90-day probationary period.
4. 5 to 7 years of experience in a related Customer Service or Planning position in a manufacturing company.
5. 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience.
6. Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
7. Organized and attentive to detail.
8. Effective time management skills with ability to prioritize workload and multi-task when required.
9. Self-starter with drive towards continuous improvement.
10. Effective administrative & record keeping skills.
11. Capable of motivating staff to achieve goals & objectives.
12. Teambuilding skills.
13. Possess computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and SAP software.
